In business, there are two types of processes that one can noticeably observe. The first type is repetitive mundane tasks and the second are jobs that need to be completed with human intervention. The former needs a discipline that can perform repetitive tasks quickly and with utter accuracy. That discipline is the business process automation (BPA).
What is Business Process Automation?
Your business has a social media account that allows your clients to freely inquire about your product or service. You need someone to answer every customer inquiry for impeccable customer service. However, it’s inconvenient to answer repeated queries manually. You can build a chatbot for prompt answers to frequently asked questions.
Business process automation is this business ploy of automating repetitive tasks. BPA significantly improves corporate workflow. In addition, automation is developing the existing workforce in a way that delivers more quality output in a short space of time. Instead of assigning people to accomplish menial tasks, you let the software effectively take care of them.
Four types of automation in Businesses
Basic automation
This type of automation fulfills simple jobs, such as centralized communication, in your organization. Internal communication in every business is essential; may it be a big shot company or a startup. There’s no need to manually simulate messages to your employees. Instead, you’re using centralized communication tools that make communication transparent. Group messaging software and group emails are one example of that.
Process automation
That automation documents and manages task consistency and transparency processes. This process automation relies more on business-process automation tools than basic automation. Project administration tools such as monday.com are examples of process automation. The entire workflow can be input by a team or department into the system. Team members will look through the workflow to see their tasks.
Integration automation
A more complex business process meets the third automation. It requires minor qualities of machine learning where software is observing the performance of human tasks and repeating those actions.
Artificial intelligence automation
The last and most complicated automation is the addition of AI to software for integration to enable human-like technological support. A software application in a lending company is one example of such. From the data presented, the software will smoothly run a financial analysis and credit check with a customer. The software then gives a calculative conclusion on whether or not the customer qualifies for a loan.
